6 Best ReciMe Alternatives (2027): Which Recipe Saver Is Right for You?

    By TastySave · Updated October 24, 2026

Disclosure: this guide is published by TastySave, the company that makes the TastySave app. ReciMe and the other apps were checked against their official websites, help centers and US App Store listings on October 24, 2026. TastySave is not affiliated with ReciMe or any app named here, and all trademarks belong to their owners.

ReciMe is a popular recipe saver, but its free plan stops at 5 imports every 7 days, and the features many people want next, like unlimited imports, the measurement converter and recipe export, are part of ReciMe Plus.

If you keep hitting the weekly limit, want a different kind of planner, or need an app in Hebrew, these six alternatives are worth a look. We start with the one we build, and we're upfront about where the others are stronger.

    The short answer

    • TastySave is our top ReciMe alternative for social recipes: instead of 5 imports a week, earn up to 3 free scans a day with short ads (up to 21 across 7 days), read up to 6 screenshots in one scan, and plan meals by week or month.
    • Rather pay once than subscribe? TastySave sells a one-time 20-scan pack, Pestle has a lifetime plan, and Paprika 3 is a paid app with no subscription.
    • Mostly save from recipe websites? Flavorish and Samsung Food let you save from websites for free.
    • Moving from ReciMe happens recipe by recipe: none of these apps offers a one-click ReciMe account transfer.

Why People Look for ReciMe Alternatives

ReciMe does a lot well: audio-based import for videos, a free weekly meal plan and grocery list, cookbooks, and apps on iPhone, Android and the web. The reasons people look elsewhere tend to be specific:

    • The free plan allows 5 imports every 7 days, counted from the date you created your account, and websites, screenshots and pasted text all count toward it.
    • Unlimited imports, the nutrition calculator, the measurement converter and export/print are ReciMe Plus features.
    • Image imports take up to 3 images at once, which can split a long recipe.
    • ReciMe Plus is a subscription: $39.99 a year in the US, according to ReciMe's help center.
    • The interface isn't available in Hebrew.

Why TastySave Deserves a Spot at the Top of Your List

    More Recipes Without Subscribing

ReciMe's free plan gives you 5 imports per 7 days. TastySave gives every account 3 starter scans and lets you earn 1 more scan for each short rewarded ad, up to 3 a day: up to 21 extra scans across 7 days when ads are available. If you'd rather pay once, the 20-scan pack is a one-time purchase that doesn't renew.

    Long Recipes in One Scan

Select up to 6 screenshots or photos and TastySave reads them as a single recipe, for one scan. ReciMe's image import takes up to 3 images at once.

A Planner That Sees the Whole Month

Plan in a weekly or monthly view, add recipes as breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack, set servings for each meal, add notes, and copy the previous week in one tap. The Meal Planner is free for every user.

    Shopping Lists on Your Terms

Pick ingredients from your plan or from several recipes, review them, skip what's already in the fridge, and add the rest. Then check items off, add your own, or copy and share the list.

    Help Deciding What to Cook

What Should I Eat Today? deals you up to 10 daily suggestions from recipes you saved yourself. Swipe through, pick one, and send it to your shopping list.

    Built for English and Hebrew

The whole app works in English and Hebrew, with a right-to-left layout in Hebrew. Keep imported recipes in their original language, or translate them into your app language.

    Room to Grow With Pro

Pro includes hundreds of scans a month, unlimited recipe edits and scaling, and no ads. ReciMe Plus offers unlimited imports and costs less per year, so if raw import volume at the lowest price is what matters, ReciMe Plus is worth comparing.

    1. TastySave: Best ReciMe Alternative for Social Recipes and Meal Planning

TastySave covers what most people use ReciMe for, saving recipes from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, websites and screenshots, and adds more free room to save, 6-image scans, a weekly and monthly planner, and a daily recipe picker. It reads the text that comes with a post rather than the video's audio, so creators who only speak the recipe need a manual touch.

More free saving, longer screenshot scans, a monthly planner, Hebrew
    Stay with ReciMe if
You rely on audio detection or a web app

    2. Flavorish: Best for Unlimited Free Website Imports

If most of your recipes come from food blogs rather than Reels, Flavorish's free plan removes the weekly ceiling ReciMe puts on websites: website imports are unlimited, and collections, meal plans and grocery lists are free and ad-free. Social, image and text imports are where it tightens, at 5 each. It's also one of the few apps here that exports your whole library and imports files from other recipe apps.

    Switch if you want
Unlimited free website imports, a full-library export
    Think twice if
Most recipes come from social media, or you need Hebrew

    3. Pestle: Best Budget Pick for iPhone and iPad

Pestle is a polished recipe manager for Apple devices with the lowest prices in this list: $2.99 a month, $24.99 a year, or $39.99 for life after a 14-day trial. It saves from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube through the share sheet. The free plan keeps up to 15 recipes, and meal plans, the recipe scanner and photo import are listed among Pro features. We did not find an Android version on Google Play.

Anyone in your home uses Android

    4. Paprika 3: Best One-Time Purchase With Full Export

Paprika is the long-standing alternative to subscriptions: you buy each platform's app once ($4.99 on iPhone and iPad on the US App Store), and your data is stored locally. It has daily, weekly and monthly meal calendars, aisle-sorted grocery lists, scaling and a documented bulk export format. Paprika 3 is built around websites; Paprika 4, in open beta since September 28, 2026, adds social and photo import, and Paprika says premium features will need a subscription after the beta.

    Switch if you want
No subscription, desktop apps, a bulk export format
    Think twice if
You save mostly from Instagram and TikTok today

    5. Samsung Food: Best Free Planner Built Around Websites

Samsung Food is a big, free cooking platform: save recipes from websites, plan the week, share shopping lists with collaborators and see nutrition details without paying. Photo scans are limited to 3 on the free plan, and Food+ costs $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year after 7 free days. Instagram and TikTok video import was not described in its official help when we checked.

    Switch if you want
A free planner, shared lists and nutrition details
    Think twice if
You import mostly from social video or photos

    6. FoodiePrep: Best for AI Meal Plans and Nutrition

FoodiePrep replaces ReciMe's do-it-yourself planner with an AI one: Chef Foodie builds personalized weekly meal plans around your nutrition goals, tracks your pantry and generates the shopping list. It imports from websites and social video, and reads up to 5 photos in one scan. The free plan stops at 25 recipes in total, and Nutrition Pro is $8.99 a month or $59.99 a year.

    Think twice if

UX and Cooking Workflow: What Changes After You Switch

Switching apps changes more than the import button. These are the everyday differences you'll notice, compared with ReciMe:

    Importing

ReciMe, Flavorish and FoodiePrep put the most effort into extraction, and ReciMe and Flavorish also use video audio. TastySave works from the post's text and from up to 6 screenshots, and keeps a link to the original post so you can rewatch it while you cook.

    Organizing

ReciMe groups recipes in cookbooks with tags and search. TastySave uses categories, custom tags, favorites, sorting and grouping, and searches by name, ingredient or tag. Paprika and Pestle use folders and categories, with smart folders in Pestle Pro.

    Planning and shopping

ReciMe, Flavorish and Samsung Food plan by the week, Paprika by day, week or month, Pestle up to 14 days ahead on Pro, and FoodiePrep with AI. TastySave plans by week or month, and you review ingredients before they reach your shopping list.

    Cooking

ReciMe offers step-by-step guided cooking with ReciMe Plus. In TastySave you check off ingredients and steps as you go and use a built-in timer, free.

Pricing, Free Imports and Long-Term Value

The cheapest app on paper isn't always the cheapest to live with. Three questions matter more than the sticker price:

    • Does the free allowance renew? ReciMe's 5 imports renew every 7 days. TastySave's ad-earned scans renew daily, up to 3. Flavorish's 5 social imports are described as a one-time credit.
    • Is the library capped? Pestle's free plan keeps 15 recipes, FoodiePrep's 25, and Paprika's free Android version 50. TastySave and ReciMe don't cap how many recipes you keep on their free plans; they count imports.
    • Must you subscribe? ReciMe, Flavorish, FoodiePrep and Samsung Food sell subscriptions. TastySave adds a one-time 20-scan pack, Pestle a lifetime plan, and Paprika 3 is a one-time purchase per platform.

Reading the 21 ad-earned scans correctly

TastySave's extra free scans are earned 1 per completed rewarded ad, up to 3 a day, and depend on ad availability. The 3 starter scans are a one-time welcome bonus. TastySave prices are from the official TastySave website on October 24, 2026; competitor prices reflect US App Store listings. Checkout prices may differ by platform and region.

How to Move Your Recipes From ReciMe

There is no one-click transfer from a ReciMe account to TastySave or to any app in this list. Importing a single recipe is different from migrating a whole cookbook, so plan to move the recipes you actually cook, one at a time.

    1. Choose the recipes you cook

Start with your favorites and anything you've edited. You don't need to move everything on day one.

    2. Use ReciMe's own share options

ReciMe's help center describes sharing a recipe via URL, exporting it as a PDF or printing it from the Share button, and lists export/print as a ReciMe Plus feature. For recipes that came from Instagram or TikTok, the original post is often the simplest source.

    3. Bring each recipe into TastySave

Share the original post or website link to TastySave, paste the recipe text, or select up to 6 screenshots of the recipe in one scan. How to turn a screenshot into a recipe

    4. Review and organize

Check quantities and steps, then add categories, tags, favorites and your cooking notes.

    5. Rebuild your week

Add recipes to the Meal Planner and build your shopping list. ReciMe meal plans and grocery lists are not imported.

    Moving a large collection?

Each recipe you bring in with a link, text or screenshots uses one TastySave scan. For a big move, the 20-scan pack or a month of Pro helps. Flavorish and Paprika import files from some other recipe apps, but neither lists ReciMe among them as of October 24, 2026.

Final Verdict: Which ReciMe Alternative Should You Choose?

If ReciMe's weekly limit is what's holding you back and you save mostly from Instagram, TikTok and screenshots, switch to TastySave. You get more free saving every day, 6-screenshot scans, a weekly and monthly Meal Planner, reviewed shopping lists and a daily recipe picker, in English or Hebrew, with a one-time pack if you'd rather not subscribe.

Pick Flavorish for unlimited free website imports, Pestle for the lowest price on Apple devices, Paprika 3 for a one-time purchase with full export, Samsung Food for a big free planner, and FoodiePrep for AI meal plans built around nutrition.

We're continuing to build new ways to bring your favorite recipes together and make everyday cooking easier.
